Pastor Bruce Anderson
Pastor Bruce Anderson is a life-long United Methodist. As a lay person he was involved with music as well as youth and adult education, and worship at Palatine, Quincy (Vermont Street) and Arlington Heights UMCs.
More recently he has been active with Barrington UMC in adult and youth education, attended mission trips and is part of the Praise band. He has also been active with Salem UMC, in Barrington, IL, as an adult education leader, liturgist and part of the Outside the Walls ministry in Chicago. He has done pulpit supply in the Elgin district, Chicago and Horton Bay Michigan. He has also been part of the Elgin District Lay Speakers Academy committee.
He is currently Cable TV Coordinator for the Village of Ho man Estates, and is a past-president of the Illinois chapter of the National Association of Telecommunications O cers and Advisors (NATOA) as well as a past treasurer and board member of national NATOA.
Bruce has an M-Div. from Garrett Evangelical eological Seminary and a MFA from Columbia College, Chicago. He is married to the Rev. Dr. Cynthia Anderson (Sr. Pastor, Batavia UMC). They have two college age children: Stephen and Katherine.
Olive Aliga -- Music Director
An excellent Musician, Olive provides accompaniment to worship, directs and plays for the choir. In addition, she provides private piano lessons. She is a member of the Philippino-American Hall of Fame. Olive and her husband, Dr. Norm Aliga, have three children, Norm Jr., Ferdinand and Chester. They also have a grandchild, Alexs. She and Norm have been very active in arranging special concerts for the church. Including the well received "Three of a Kind" U.S.A.. tour stop.
Winfield Community Church is continuing with a project to clear and beautify the wooded area to our south. Firewood is available for a small donation. The Gary Methodist Scouts, Troop 35 are willing to deliver it to your home.
